Blackberry film - the story of the first-ever smartphone

I'm always amused by the range of options that Emirates offers us in its ICE entertainment system, this time flying from Dubai to Dublin, I reached the best of 2023 category, and there was a film that caught my attention not because of its beautiful theatrical poster , but only by the name "Blackberry". How could my curiosity not be taken by this name that was successful for much of my adolescence, after all, what happened to the Canadian company that launched the first smartphone?

A film about the brand that was once the most desired by all executives in the first decade of the 2000s? Where did things start to go wrong? I needed to know, and I obviously don't regret my decision.

"BlackBerry" is a 2023 Canadian biographical comedy-drama film directed by Matt Johnson, based on the book "Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind the Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of BlackBerry" by Jacquie McNish and Sean Silcoff. The film was released on May 12, 2023, and has a runtime of 121 minutes.
