Let’s start at the beginning, I arrived on October 21st, 2022 on a rainy Friday night and around Halloween season. Everything was fantastic and unique, I was looking at everything with the eyes of a baby when looking at something for the first time, and I wished that feeling would never end.

About my first day at school‍

On Monday already in my first class I thought I was in the wrong level, the people who were studying with me there were so good, they could speak everything quickly and fluently, and I couldn’t follow them. It was only after days and weeks that my listening and my speaking started to work in the same way as those people I was admiring since I arrived.

Can I pay my own bills abroad? Finally, a Job!‍

After a month in Dublin I got a job, yes, I have a job now, the same job I have been working for almost a year. I am working as a cleaner in a big house in Killiney, 5 people live there, and most of them aren't even at home in the morning, so I’m able to do my job quietly and focused, which is so nice, but on another hand I rarely talk to someone and I when it happens I can practice my English for some minutes.

Have you ever fell in love with a European?‍

After all this experiences, ups and downs, after a year living in Dublin and some frustrating dates I finally met a good guy in Ireland. He is a French guy, a good partner, who listens to me, is my lover and friend, someone who I want to share my goals and dreams, someone with whom I can be myself without judgment, and I’m so glad about that.

To crown it all

I would like to say that life abroad is not easy, but when you are sure of what you want, and if you have a good network of friends and family (close to you or not) you are able to face everything that you want, it will never be easy but with the right people around you everything makes sense.
